OUR HISTORY

The story of Petrinos restaurant begins in 2003, initially being a family tavern in the area of Zefyria. The old tavern was housed in an old building made of stones, exactly opposite the Holy Church of Panagia Portiani.
The homemade traditional flavors of Mrs Sofia (the mother of the owner) and the warm atmosphere of the tavern established it as a special spot of good authentic food and everyone was saying “Let’s eat at Petrino’s”.
*Petrino means “made of stone”, so today’s Petrinos restaurant got its name after the name of the old stone building tavern.

As the years were passing the reputation of the tavern was growing more and more, and as a result, in 2014 the tavern was moved to a larger privately owned space, again in Zefyria.

In 2019, Petrinos Restaurant was transferred again to Adamantas, in one of the most touristic spots of the island, right next to the coastal road, by the sea side, where it is currently located until today.

The flavors and the fusion of local fresh ingredients make their own journey
crossing the island by sailing in the sea. The Aegean ships symbolize Aegean’s
culture and its distinctive, intense flavors are strongly connected to the
commitment to its authentic customs.

Through the times, Greek navigators and explorers, carrying along the aromas of
spices, herbs and raw ingredients transferred and exchanged recipes, flavors and
experiences towards and from all over the world.

The sharing of experiences and the use of authentic recipes passed down through generations formed the fusion of Aegean cuisine. Aegean cuisine, maintaining its authentic character, remains traditional and at the same time well-travelled and cosmopolitan.

He has over 20 years of experience in the gastronomy sector and he continues consistently to this day to share his creativity and passion for gastronomy and hospitality with locals and foreign visitors of Milos Island, turning Petrinos restaurant into a favorite spot that speaks directly to your heart and fully indulge your taste!
